Where your tax strategy and financial plan work together

For high earners in Orange County who are tired of managing multiple advisors with no one connecting the dots.

You've built real income. But your CPA files taxes. Your advisor manages investments and updates your financial plan once a year. And nobody is talking to each other.

The result: missed strategies, surprise tax bills, and the feeling that your money is harder to manage the more of it you have.

One advisor. Your entire financial picture.

Most advisors manage one piece. Katherine manages the whole picture, creating efficiency and saving you on taxes and advisory fees.

Katherine Leonard, CPA, CFP® spent a decade advising ultra-high-net-worth clients at PricewaterhouseCoopers and within the Exclusive Family Office group at Aspiriant, a leading RIA managing $17B in assets. She left to build something more personal. Today she brings that same institutional rigor to a boutique practice built around one thing: helping high earners in Orange County simplify their finances, reduce taxes, and build lasting wealth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who do you typically work with? Most clients come in with real financial complexity: growing income, a business, equity compensation, or simply the sense that their money has gotten harder to manage the more successful they've become. Many are physicians, attorneys, executives, or business owners in Orange County, but the common thread isn't a job title. It's that they want someone who actually understands their full picture and can help them make sense of it. If that sounds like you, it's probably worth a conversation.

Q: What makes you different from a traditional financial advisor or CPA? Most advisors specialize in one area (investments, taxes, or financial planning) and operate independently. I hold both a CPA and CFP® designation, which means I handle all three in one practice. Your tax strategy directly informs your investment decisions, and your financial plan accounts for what you'll actually owe. There's no handoff, no coordination gap, and no one optimizing their piece at the expense of yours.

Q: Where are you located and who do you serve? I'm based in Newport Beach, California, and work primarily with clients across Orange County, including Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach, Irvine, and Costa Mesa. I also work with a select number of clients outside the area who need the integrated CPA + CFP® model and prefer to work remotely.

Q: How do I get started? Reach out through the contact form and tell me a little about your situation. I'll review it personally and follow up to schedule an introductory call. There's no pitch, no pressure, just a straightforward conversation about whether it makes sense to work together.

Q: What does it cost to work with you? Comprehensive wealth management is offered as an all-inclusive annual fee based on assets under management. The fee covers investment management, tax planning, tax preparation, financial planning, and ongoing advisory access. No billing by the hour, no separate tax prep invoice. For advisory-only engagements, a separate structure is available. The best way to understand what's right for your situation is to start with a conversation.
